This week dad took us on a road trip to Anglesey which is an Island connected to the mainland of Wales via a bridge. This is me at a place called Plas Newydd I got a really nice welcome and a biscuit from the nice national trust ladies at the entrance. The house belongs to a really important sounding man called the Marquess of Anglesey. It is set on the shores of the Menai Strait with amazing views of the awesome Snowdonia mountains. The house is famous for a really big painting by a gentleman called Rex Whistler. Mum says it’s beautiful but it was the only place I wasn’t allowed in.

Poetry

   It was the first day of spring this week and there are daffodils out everywhere at Bodnant. Unfortunately, Mum had got her educating Bailey hat on again, this time it’s something called “poetry “.

   A host, of golden daffodils;
   Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
   Fluttering and dancing in the breeze (William Wordsworth).
